CONFORMATION:
Cette catégorie de compétition canine est dite de conformation. Un
juge accrédité évalue chaque chien selon le standard de sa race définie
par le club de race.
Le Club Canin Canadien attribue un
titre de champion canadien en conformation à un chien ayant obtenu au
minimum 10 points dont une majeur de 2 points ou plus sous au moins
trois juges différents. |
CONFORMATION:
A kind of dog show in which a
judge familiar with a specific dog breed evaluates
individual purebred dogs for how well the dogs conform to
the established breed type for their breed, as described in a
breed's individual breed standard.
The Canadian Kennel Club rules
said, 10 points are needed
for a Championship, with wins awarded by at least three
different judges, and at least one "major" win of two or more
points.

OBÉISSANCE:
Une compétition d'obéissance est un sport canin où l'on demande à une
équipe maître-chien d'exécuter une série d'exercices le plus
parfaitement possible.
Pour participer à
une compétition d'obéissance sous les règle du Club Canin Canadien (CCC)
le chien doit répondre à des commandements telsque; assis, couché, reste,
vient, et la marche au pied. La performance est évaluée par un
juge officiel sur une possibilité de 200 points avec un minimum de 170
dont la réussite d'au moins 50% de chacun des exercices. |
OBEDIENCE:
An obedience trial is a
dog sport in which a dog
must perfectly execute a predefined set of tasks when directed
to do so by his handler.
To participate in Canadian
Kennel Club (CKC) obedience trials
a dog must understand and respond to
commands such as "sit", "down", "stay", "come", and "heel." At a
trial, the dog and handler will perform various predefined
obedience exercises, which will be evaluated and scored by a
judge. The dog must demonstrate basic proficiency in order to
receive a passing score 170 points out of a possible 200, and at least 50% of the points allocated to each exercise.

RALLYE
OBÉISSANCE:
Le Rallye Obéissance est une activité
qui combine les sports d`obéissance et d’agilité.
Le sport exige aussi une allure vive, une
attitude positive, des mouvements dynamiques.
Le parcours du
Rallye O est exécuté par une équipe manieur/chien. Le parcours
comprend de 15 à 20 pictogrammes, incluant le départ et
l’arrivée. Chaque pictogramme indique l’exercice à être
exécuté.
Avec son chien,
le manieur doit faire le parcours dans un maximum de trois
minutes. Le rythme doit être dynamique et l’attitude enjouée et
motivante.
Le manieur peut diriger son
chien avec autant de commandes verbales qu'il le souhaite ainsi
qu'autant d'encouragement qu'il souhaite. Le
pointage est accordé en fonction de l’exécution
réussie de chaque pictogramme.

THE RALLYE OBEDIENCE:
Rally obedience is a cross
between agility and an obedience
trial. In a rally-o competition, the handler
with is dog must
perform a series of commands as
directed by a series of signs. between 15 to
20, on the course.
At each station,
the signs
indicate which
exercise must be
performed.
Performances are
judged on proper
completion of
the course
within the set
time limit. In
general, judging
tends to be more
relaxed than in
formal obedience
trials. Handlers
may offer verbal
cues to their
dogs as much as
they want and
may give
multiple
commands.

| CONCOURS AU TERRIER
Les concours au terrier sont un
exercice de simulation de chasse sous terre. Le chien doit suivre
une trace grace à son odorat puis s'introduire dans le terrier
artificiel. Suivant son odorat le chien doit parcourir un les
tunels pour y retrouver la vermine qu'il ne peut physiquement toucher.
Le chien doit japper, grogner ou creuser pour démontrer son intérêt de
chasse.
Ce test n'a pas de classement des
participant il donne la mention échec ou réussite. Le chien peut
obtenir 4 différents titres.

Earthdog Den Trials are
a simulated hunting situation usually held in a field in which the dachshund/terrier
tracks the game by scent to the constructed game's earth (lair, burrow, tunnel),
enters the animal's tunnel and then works (barking, engaging, etc) the animal
until the vermin either bolts (flees) from the earth or until the owner digs
down to the den in a real hunting situation. A caged rat serves as the simulated quarry
at the end of the trench where the dog can see and smell but not physically
touch or harm the rat.
The test is
non-competitive; either a pass or a fail.
The dog can obtain 4 titles.

CANICROSS:
Le canicross est un
sport canin qui consiste à courir en plein air, tracté par son
chien. Une bonne façon de renforcer ses aptitudes
physiques en même temps que sa relation avec son compagnon canin,
à tout âgeAvec le
temps et l'augmentation de sa pratique, le canicross est devenue un sport à
part entière qui peut être pratiqué comme un simple loisir ou en
compétition.

Ce sport ancestral suédois a d'abord été développé comme moyen de locomotion avec un cheval ou un
poney en europe. La forme canine de l'activité est plus pratiqué par les
nord américains encouragés pour le loisir.
Le ski joëring est une discipline
sportive qui tient des compétitions avec 1 à 3 chiens.
L'équipe maître-chien qui termine premier gagne.

SKI-JOËRING:
Originally ski-joëring
was a practical way
for skiers to travel
long distances being
pulled by horses in
europe. Immigrants
brought the practice
with them to North
America using dogs.
In modern times
skijoring has gained
popularity in the
lower forty-eight.
Competitive canine
skijoring consists
of a skier being
pulled by between 1
and 3 dogs along a
predetermined
course. The team
that finishes first
is the winner.

AGILITY:
Dog agility is a sport in
which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a
race for both time and accuracy. Dogs run off-leash and the
handler's controls requiring exceptional training of the animal
and coordination of the handler. An agility course
consists of a set of 15 to 20 standard obstacles, laid out by an
agility judge in a design of his or her own choosing on 100 by
100-foot area,.
